Workshop Assistant, Bluefors Oy

Bluefors Oy is a Finnish technology company and a global leader in cryogenic measurement systems used in quantum computing research. Their Helsinki workshop is where precision materials meet cutting-edge science - and they need someone like you to keep it running. As a Workshop Assistant, you'll handle real materials - copper, aluminium, brass, stainless steel - and cut them to exact measurements using modern ERP systems. Full training is provided, so you don't need prior experience to get started. This is a full-time, fixed-term position (4 months) with day shifts and a 40-hour work week. YOUR TASKS You'll be working as a Workshop Assistant at Bluefors Oy's Helsinki facility, employed through Barona Teollisuus Oy. Your day-to-day work keeps the workshop stocked, organised, and running smoothly.

• Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming raw materials
• Cutting materials - copper, stainless steel (AISI 316), brass, aluminium, and POM plastic - to specified dimensions using workshop tools
• Reading and following cutting instructions from the ERP system
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels
• Keeping the workshop tidy and organised
• Handling parts ranging from 12 mm to 360 mm in diameter

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to follow precise technical instructions carefully and accurately
• Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for your tasks
• Good practical hands-on skills
• Willingness to learn - full training is provided

NICE TO HAVE

• Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial environment
• Forklift licence (trukkikortti)
• Familiarity with ERP systems or similar tools

You will be employed with Barona Teollisuus Oy for 4 month fixed-term employment contract. The work starts as agreed, no later than in the beginning of November. This is full-time position from Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week in a day shift. Apply via application form.
