Lapland Staff is looking for waiters and waitresses for the Christmas season 2026, for Lapland Hotels Catering in Saariselkä. In addition, we are looking for two waiters for the entire winter season 2026–2027.
Lapland Hotels Catering waiters mainly work during the Christmas season on lunch shifts in an international work environment in Lapland Safaris own private restaurants. During the spring season, we serve both our lunch and dinner guests in our two private restaurants as well as in our atmospheric Kota restaurant. The work is versatile and fast-paced teamwork, where everyones' contribution is important. Within the limits of your interest and skills, you can also work breakfast and evening shifts at Lapland Hotels Riekonlinna.
The waiters and waitresses we are looking for are flexible team players. Applicants should ideally have a Finnish Food hygiene certificate; however, the hygiene certificate is not mandatory for employees working in Finland for less than three months. We expect our waiters to have good English skills so that communication with the team and our guests goes smoothly. For this work a positive attitude is key to ensure the success of our guests holiday experience!
We are also looking for full-season employees who perform well under pressure and have experience in bar and alcohol-serving duties. The work takes place in an ice bar, and the role is performed while wearing Lapland Safaris winter-themed costume. We require a valid hygiene passport and alcohol serving license, the ability and willingness to work independently, as well as a drivers license and the ability to drive in winter conditions.
Other language skills, work experience in the customer service field, the Finnish Alcohol Passport and proficiency of assuming sole responsibility of a bar are considered an advantage. In addition, please note that in order to work in Finland, EU-citizenship/passport or valid working permit to Finland is required. Please read more under the job advertisement.

The employment relationship is a fixed term seasonal contract according to the Collective Agreement for employees in the hotel, restaurant, and leisure industry. Work starts on 23.11.2026 and lasts until the end of December 2026 or March 2027. Salary according to the Collective Agreement for employees in hotel, restaurant and leisure industry, demand group 4 of the salary scale, starting at 13,70 €/hour (gross). Work will be done also during weekends and public holidays. Sundays and Finnish bank holidays are paid double. Accommodation is organized in shared rooms, with reasonable rent in comparison to the local price level.
