Vice President, Compliance

We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Vice President, Compliance to lead a team of Compliance Officers serving selected Norwegian entities and help strengthen how compliance is embedded across our business. In this role, you will advise local management teams, support the Chief Compliance Officer with operational oversight and risk insight, and contribute to the continued development of Telenor's Compliance Community. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on engagement across reporting, policy implementation, digitalisation, monitoring and case management. Key Responsibilities

• Lead compliance reporting and provide risk insights to entity management and Boards, while supporting Group-wide oversight through data-driven monitoring and digital tools.
• Ensure consistent implementation of the Telenor Compliance Programme and Group policy requirements across the entities within your area of responsibility.
• Advise management and employees on compliance matters, including anti-corruption and third-party risk management.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Compliance Officers, fostering accountability, collaboration and professional excellence.
• Strengthen the Compliance Community by setting direction, enabling knowledge sharing and establishing effective ways of working.
• Lead or coordinate compliance concerns, investigations and remedial actions in close collaboration with relevant functions.
• Act as Compliance Officer for selected Norwegian entities and ensure timely escalation of relevant matters.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Professional certifications within compliance, risk or audit are an advantage, as is international experience.
• 10–15 years of experience in governance, compliance, internal control or risk management, including senior roles in complex international organisations.
• Proven experience designing, implementing and operating compliance management systems across multiple entities.
• Strong leadership experience, with a track record of building capability, alignment and professional standards across teams or professional communities.
• Experience with policy management, enterprise risk assessments, Board reporting and the handling of high-risk compliance matters or investigations.
• Ability to build trust with senior leaders and Boards, provide constructive challenge and navigate complex matrix organisations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business actions.
• Excellent written and spoken English. Norwegian language skills are an advantage.
