About the role

As a VHDL Designer, you will work closely with an established team of experts at the intersection of software and electronics. You will be responsible for designing, simulating, and testing VHDL-based systems, helping to scale core IP. This role is ideal for a junior or more experienced engineer looking to grow their skills in digital design.

Work tasks

Design, simulate, and verify VHDL-based logic circuits for FPGA platforms, collaborating with a small team of experts to develop high-quality hardware prototypes.

  • Develop and implement digital designs using VHDL on Intel/Altera and AMD platforms.
  • Perform simulations using Modelsim, Vivado, Vitis, or GHDL.
  • Manage timings, registers, signals, and pipeline structures in VHDL.
  • Utilize DSP and RAM blocks, performing basic arithmetic and bit manipulation.
  • Create and run testbenches, potentially utilizing AI-assisted tools.
  • Use Git version control to manage and document design files.
  • Collaborate with the hardware and software engineering teams on prototype development.

We are looking for

  • Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical etc
  • Good basic knowledge of VHDL development and how it differs from traditional software programming.
  • Familiarity with FPGA design platforms such as Intel/Altera (Quartus) or AMD (Vivado/Vitis).
  • Experience with simulation tools like Modelsim, Vivado/Vitis, or GHDL.
  • Basic understanding of registers, signals, timings, and pipeline design.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience with Git version control.
