Verification Engineer

Role: Verification Engineer – Defence systems Location: Arboga, Sweden Contract: November 2026 –May 2027, possile extensions We are looking for an experienced Verification Engineer to work on complex technical systems, focusing on testing, verification and hardware-related development. Key Responsibilities

• Create test plans and test specifications.
• Plan and execute functional testing.
• Perform verification through testing and analysis.
• Decide what needs to be tested, when testing should take place and which test methods are most appropriate.
• Develop and recommend verification strategies.
• Conduct environmental and performance testing, including EMC, vibration, temperature and humidity testing.
• Work closely with multiple engineering disciplines and project teams.
• Coordinate and drive test and verification activities.
• Act as a sub-project lead within testing and verification when required.
• Ensure testing activities are structured, efficient and delivered throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Technical engineering education, such as a BEng, MEng, university degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience in testing, verification or a related engineering role.
• Experience writing test specifications and planning, executing and following up tests.
• Good understanding of hardware-related testing.
• Ability to work independently, make technical decisions and provide well-founded recommendations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Comfortable working in a technically complex environment and across different engineering disciplines.
• Proactive, flexible and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong ownership of deliverables and ability to drive activities forward.

• INCOSE
• DOORS or experience working as a requirements analyst
• Jira
• Defence industry experience
• Communications systems and networking
• System integration and system assembly
• ISTQB certification
• Project management experience
• Military background
