What you'll do

Verification Engineer We're supporting a leading organisation within the automotive industry that is looking to add a Vehicle Validation Engineer to its growing team in the Gothenburg area. This is a hands-on role focused on testing and validating active safety systems and automated vehicle functions. You'll be working closely with feature owners, developers and customers, preparing and executing vehicle tests, analysing results and helping improve future vehicle functionality. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-5 years of experience who enjoys practical testing, problem-solving and working directly with vehicles. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in vehicles and enjoys practical testing in real-world environments. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, have a structured approach to problem-solving, and be motivated by understanding how complex vehicle systems behave under different conditions. This is initially a 12-month consulting position, with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities of the Verification Engineer

  • Plan, prepare and execute vehicle tests.
  • Validate active safety and automated vehicle functions.
  • Analyse logs, data and test results.
  • Create clear test reports and documentation.
  • Investigate issues and support root cause analysis activities.
  • Write and maintain test cases.
  • Collaborate with developers, feature owners and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in vehicle and test track activities.

Requirements of the Verification Engineer

  • BSc, MSc or equivalent technical education.
  • Experience within vehicle testing, validation or verification.
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Experience with Vector tools such as CANalyzer and/or CANoe.
  • Experience with automotive logging and diagnostic tools.
  • Understanding of requirements-based testing.
  • Be able to communicate in Swedish.
  • Experience testing active safety or ADAS functions.
  • Vehicle test track experience.
