Vehicle Integration Engineer

Role Description The Vehicle Integration Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Gothenburg Metropolitan Area. In this position, the engineer will integrate hardware and software components within vehicle platforms, ensuring that systems work together reliably and meet performance and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing system requirements, designing integration solutions, configuring and testing vehicle systems, and troubleshooting integration issues. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as software developers, systems engineers, and project managers, as well as documenting integration processes and test results. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of integration workflows, tools, and best practices. The scope of the work includes:

• Vehicle SW Integration & update
• Vehicle SW Fault Tracing
• HW Electronic Fault Tracing and fixing
• Root Cause Analysis
• Securing the uptime of the Vehicle Fleet

Competence Required:

• Several years of hands-on experience SW integration of complex embedded systems.
• Experience in using Volvo specific SWDL tools (TechTool, Engineering Tool, Prosit+).
• Several years of hands-on Fault Tracing and Root Cause Analysis on complex embedded systems.
• Experience in using general and Volvo specific Fault Tracing and Root Cause Analysis tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, others).
• Several years of hands-on HW/wiring Fault Tracing, Root Cause Analysis and fixing relatively simpler HW/wiring issues including creating break-out cables and adapters.
• Experience in using SE Tool, Jira, Confluence and similar tools.
• C and/or CE driver license is a merit
• Linux experience is a merit.
