UI Artist

SYBO is part of the Miniclip family and known for the widely popular game, Subway Surfers - the most downloaded mobile game in the world, with over four and a half billion downloads. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, we aim to create playful moments that inspire our fans to care. We’re looking for a talented UI Artist to work with one of the biggest mobile games IP in the world: Subway Surfers. Art has always been a northstar at SYBO, and we take great part in creating polished and high quality art that brings storytelling to life. Here you’ll join a seasoned group of artists all working closely together to make our games feel as good as it looks! We have a highly collaborative, feedback-friendly space where ideas bounce fast and bold, and where UI design really drives the player experience. You’ll have the rare chance to shape UI at scale on either of our games, depending on which team you’ll be joining. • Create polished, lively UI art that enhances the established art direction and stays true to the Subway Surfers brand.
• Design intuitive and engaging UI screens, assets, and interactions for new and existing game features.
• Develop and present UI concepts and interactive prototypes that clearly communicate the intended look, feel, and player experience.
• Collaborate closely with the art, design and engineering to bring player-centric features from concept to implementation
• Contribute to UX work through wireframes, user flows and prototypes
• Create and maintain UI design systems, style guides, and documentation to support consistency and scalability across screens and features.
• Work directly with the Unity engine on pixel-perfect UI Implementation and asset performance optimization

Life at SYBO In your first month, you’ll dive into our tools, pipelines, and the people behind them. You’ll get to know the direction of the game, the feel of the team, and slowly start contributing to UI work and discussions. Within 3 months, you’re now owning key UI assignments. You collaborate closely with game design, and your work is directly shaping and refining the player journey. By 12 months, you’ve become a core part of the team’s creative engine - raising the bar for UI art and design, pushing for polish, and helping define what great looks like at SYBO. Maybe even beyond your own game team. Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating solid UI work for games, with clear examples of creating intuitive, polished, and engaging UIs.
• Ability to follow - and build on - an established art direction
• Some experience creating wireframes, user flows and mockups - we don’t expect you to be a UX expert, but we expect you to be the UI expert, and have a solid grasp of how that fits into UX.
• Skilled at designing, rendering - and possibly animating - high-quality UI elements that bring personality and clarity to the player experience.
• Proficiency with modern UI/UX and prototyping tools, particularly Figma.
• Experience working with Unity or similar engines, and a solid understanding of UI implementation

• Experience working on large-scale live service mobile games.
