Ubuntu Package Management - Engineering Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Ubuntu Package Management - Engineering Manager based in Denmark. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the technologies that underpin software management and system lifecycle experiences across Ubuntu. You will combine technical leadership with people management, shaping engineering direction while supporting the growth and development of experienced engineers. Your scope will span package management, software distribution, driver and firmware management, updates, upgrades, and release processes. You will influence architecture, roadmap planning, engineering quality, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability across critical platform technologies. Working with globally distributed engineering teams, you will build strong partnerships across product, security, desktop, server, release engineering, and other functions. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to widely used open source infrastructure while collaborating with upstream communities and projects. You will help balance innovation with the stability and reliability required by a large-scale operating system platform.
