What you'll do

How would you like the opportunity to train for a new career while working in permanent employment?

This opportunity is ideal for a technical professional with a strong motivation to pursue a career in construction site safety.

The training recruitment programme will begin in late 2026, and two candidates will be selected. The selected candidates will be offered permanent employment, including the required training and practical on-site induction with the support of the site organisation.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will participate in the day-to-day monitoring of safety on the construction site. You will review the risks associated with different work phases together with employees and site management, participate in safety inspections and document observations made on site. You will monitor the implementation of agreed safety measures and help ensure that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with the sites requirements.

Your duties will also include preparing and updating risk assessments, conducting pre-work inspections for upcoming activities and managing safety documentation. As your training progresses and your expertise develops, you will take a more independent role in preparing RAMS documentation and method statements, as well as participating in site safety and coordination meetings. You will work closely with site management, other contractors and the principal contractor.

What do we expect from you?

The position is suitable for candidates with a relevant bachelors degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Site Management, together with practical experience in the construction industry. Previous experience in a dedicated HSE role is not required, but we expect you to have a practical understanding of construction site safety and a strong motivation to train and develop into an HSE professional.

At the beginning of your employment, you will complete an OSHA Construction Safety course delivered in English. The course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to work in construction site safety. As your expertise and experience develop, you will have the opportunity to complete the NEBOSH International General Certificate and progress towards more demanding HSE responsibilities.

You will need a good command of English, as you will work in an international environment, prepare safety documentation and complete the initial safety training in English. We expect you to have a systematic and responsible approach to your work, strong attention to detail and the confidence to address any safety issues you identify in a constructive manner.

What do we offer?

We offer permanent employment through Biisoni and a long-term role on a major project in Seinäjoki. You will have the opportunity to build a new career in construction site safety and develop your expertise through professional training, practical induction and the support of an experienced organisation. Your responsibilities will expand as your training progresses and your expertise develops.

Your salary will be agreed based on your qualifications, previous experience and the level of responsibility at the beginning of the role. Your salary will be reviewed as you complete the required training and develop in the role.

You will receive comprehensive induction covering the sites operating practices, safety requirements, documentation and systems. After the current project, the work continue at other construction sites in Finland or abroad. We therefore value a willingness to travel for work.

If you would like to pursue a career in construction site safety, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please submit your application through the application link as soon as possible, but no later than 19 November 2026. We will review applications throughout the application period.
