Shape the Future of Heavy Machinery: Thesis Opportunities at Kalmar Thesis Level Bachelor Thesis (15 hp) Master Thesis (30 hp) Location: Partly in Ljungby, Sweden and remote Background As the global market leader in Reachstackers (RST) and heavy material handling equipment, Kalmar is actively developing capabilities for its Diesel and Electric ranges. To maintain our competitive edge and drive the industry forward, we are continuously innovating in sustainable technologies, electrified drivetrains, artificial intelligence, and smart logistics. We are now seeking driven students to tackle real-world challenges across multiple departments. These thesis projects provide a unique opportunity to proactively shape the future of our engineering, software, and business strategies. Thesis Topics Overview We have several exciting thesis opportunities available across various disciplines. Students can apply for projects within a variety of research areas such as Software, AI & Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering & Electromobility, Mechatronics & Control Systems, Business Strategy, Supply Chain, Logistics & Optimization. Qualifications / Skills Depending on the specific thesis topic chosen, we are looking for students with backgrounds in one or more of the following fields:
Extent 15 (hp) each- This corresponds to approximately 10 weeks. 30 (hp) each- This corresponds to approximately 20 weeks. Any result from the thesis work, including the final thesis report, will need to be reviewed by Kalmar prior to publication.
