About the Assignment We are seeking a master’s student to conduct a thesis project focused on sustainable transportation and logistics decarbonization within a global manufacturing and distribution network. The project will explore current and emerging transportation technologies, alternative fuels, innovative logistics concepts, and modal solutions that can further advance sustainability performance while supporting cost efficiency and high service levels. The thesis will support the development of a more sustainable transport network by identifying realistic and scalable solutions for future implementation across inbound, internal, and outbound transportation flows. Depending on the student’s interests and background, the thesis can focus on either Sustainable Transportation & Logistics Decarbonization or Network Optimization & Distribution Design. Objective The objective is to analyze Systemair's transportation network and logistics flows, evaluate its performance, and identify opportunities to improve sustainability through transportation optimization, network efficiency improvements, modal shifts, and emerging transportation solutions. Who are We Looking For? You are currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Logistics, Supply chain, Production Engineering, or a related field. You are analytically minded, curious about supply chain and logistics processes, and comfortable working independently. What You Will Learn and Contribute Through this thesis project, you will gain hands-on experience in a global manufacturing and distribution environment and have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced supply chain professionals. Your work will help shape future ways of working and support informed decision-making with tangible business impact. Additional Information The thesis project is connected to our operations in Skinnskatteberg. While some activities, meetings, and collaboration are best conducted on site, much of the work can be carried out remotely. We offer flexibility and will plan the level of on-site presence together based on the project's needs. Submit your application no later than 2026-10-31.
