Test Lead – Workday / Core HR Implementation

Role Description The Test Lead – Workday / Core HR Implementation is a contract, on-site role based in Stockholm County, Sweden. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end testing effort for Workday and Core HR implementation projects, including planning, coordinating, and overseeing test activities across functional and technical teams. Day-to-day tasks include defining test strategies, preparing test plans and schedules, managing test execution cycles, and ensuring test coverage for configurations, integrations, and data migration. The Test Lead will collaborate closely with HR business stakeholders, Workday consultants, developers, and project managers to validate requirements, track defects, and drive timely resolution of issues. The role also includes reporting on test progress and quality metrics, managing risks, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools. Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Management and Test Strategy to lead planning, coordination, and governance of testing activities.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Testing and Test Execution, including creating test cases, executing tests, and documenting results.
• Candidates should possess robust Quality Assurance skills to ensure solution reliability, compliance with requirements, and adherence to best practices.
• Experience with Workday (particularly Core HR) implementations, including configuration and integration testing, is highly beneficial.
• Proven experience as a Test Lead or similar role on large-scale HR or ERP implementations in enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and standard SDLC / Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish or other European languages is an advantage.
