Role Overview
The Test Lead will be responsible for defining, governing, and coordinating end-to-end testing activities for a Core HR / Workday implementation programme.
The role will ensure that Workday solution configuration, business processes, integrations, security, reporting, data migration, and downstream impacts are thoroughly tested against agreed business and technical requirements and are ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the end-to-end testing strategy and Quality Assurance approach for the Workday implementation.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all testing phases, including:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- End-to-End Testing
- Security Testing
- Data Migration Testing
- Ensure Workday business processes, integrations, security controls, reporting, and data migration meet agreed requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate testing activities across business stakeholders, project workstreams, technical teams, and implementation partners.
- Manage testing risks, issues, dependencies, defects, and resolution activities.
- Establish and monitor testing plans, schedules, test coverage, quality metrics, and defect status.
- Provide regular testing status reports and quality metrics to programme governance and senior stakeholders.
- Assess and communicate go-live readiness based on testing outcomes.
- Drive business acceptance and obtain formal testing sign-off.
- Support cutover, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Ensure appropriate testing governance, documentation, traceability, and reporting throughout the programme.
