What you'll do

KRAHN Specialty Fluids is based in Gothenburg and has served international customers for 30 years in cooling and fire-protection applications. Our products combine thermal performance with a strong environmental profile and are used in demanding applications worldwide. We are a small, agile organization with flat structure and short decision paths. You will work closely across functions, take ownership of your ideas and have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our products and future development. KRAHN Specialty Fluids AB is part of the KRAHN Group, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. Strengthen product reliability. Solve real-world challenges. Build technical knowledge. To strengthen our technical organization in Gothenburg, we are looking for a Technical Specialist – Production & Applications (m/f/d) on a fulltime basis. You will work close to both production and customers, helping ensure consistent product quality, analyzing samples from real installations and turning field experience into systematic knowledge. Working across Production, Quality, Technical and Sales, you will become an important link between what we manufacture and how our products perform in practice. What does a working day look like? Your day can move between production, laboratory work and customer applications. You might review QC data, provide technical support for production, analyze a customer sample or prepare a report with recommended actions. You may also qualify raw materials, improve QC methods or document field data to identify recurring patterns. The common thread is practical problem-solving - turning measurements and observations into reliable products, routines and useful technical guidance. Why this role is exciting

  • Lead practical technical initiatives that improve product performance, quality and customer value.
  • Work hands-on across production, laboratory testing and real customer applications to build systemic knowledge connecting product condition, operating conditions, materials and components.
  • Influence best practices for product quality, performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Join a growing international specialty-fluids business with short decision paths and room to take initiative.

Key responsibilities

  • Support production with QC testing, technical evaluation and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze heat transfer fluids and support product improvements through evaluation of key parameters.
  • Prepare technical reports and recommend actions to customers and internal teams.
  • Monitor product and QC trends and develop practical quality-control methods.
  • Evaluate and qualify raw materials and assess their impact on product quality and performance.
  • Develop production instructions, testing routines and equipment calibration/maintenance practices.
  • Build systematic field-performance knowledge to support Production and Sales.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Development Engineer, translating production and field experience into product-development priorities.

Your profile

  • BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a comparable field.
  • At least 2 years of experience from chemical production, formulation, applications technology, quality or laboratory work is valuable.
  • A hands-on mindset combined with the ability to understand the underlying chemistry and technical principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, independent way of working.
  • Comfortable communicating technical findings to colleagues and customers.
  • Fluent in Swedish. Professional working proficiency in English is required as the role involves international collaboration.
  • Valid driving license (Category B)
  • Experience with heat transfer fluids, corrosion inhibitors, industrial cooling or related chemical products is an advantage.

Ready for the next step? Qualifications are important, but we place strong emphasis on personal suitability, curiosity and the ability to turn technical questions into practical solutions. Apply now and help us build an even stronger technical foundation for our products and customers.
