Technical Manager

On behalf of HydraSpecma, Medarbejderne ApS is recruiting a Technical Manager with responsibility across Lubrication, R&D and Test. You will combine people leadership, technical development and customer understanding and ensure that HydraSpecma has the competencies and capacity needed for both today’s customer projects and tomorrow’s solutions. Leadership close to the technology Your most important responsibility is to create the conditions for the team to succeed. You will lead employees within Lubrication, R&D and Test and ensure that the organisation has the right competencies and capacity to deliver customer projects and support HydraSpecma’s overall strategy. That requires clear priorities, structure and progress across several technical activities at the same time. It also requires leadership close enough to the technology to ask the right questions, challenge constructively and help specialists make sound decisions. Shape the roadmap and stay close to customers You will maintain an ongoing dialogue with customers and key accounts about current and upcoming projects and technical needs. Together with relevant stakeholders, you will define and develop the R&D roadmap for cooling and lubrication. Internally, you will work closely with Customer Engineering, Global Procurement, Operations and colleagues across Technology to ensure that current and future solutions remain technically strong and commercially competitive. You will also contribute to department budgets, investment cases and collaboration with universities and external when new knowledge or capabilities are needed. The role reports to the Head of Technology and is based primarily in Skjern, Denmark. You will lead the Lubrication, R&D and Test areas, including line management responsibility within Customer Engineering for Lubrication and Hydraulics. HydraSpecma is currently establishing a new test centre, giving you the opportunity to influence how future testing, validation and technical development are structured. What will make you successful? You have experience leading engineers, technical specialists or a comparable professional team. You create structure without unnecessary bureaucracy, involve your people and still make decisions when priorities compete or progress is too slow. You do not need to be the deepest specialist in every technical discipline. What matters is that you understand the environment well enough to create direction around people who may know more than you within their specific field and turn that expertise into progress and results.
