Team Lead - HAL Engineering

About The Role As Team Lead of the HAL Engineering group, you will guide a team of talented C engineers to deliver the software foundation of our NOS. You’ll combine technical leadership with team mentorship, ensuring that the HAL layer is robust, performant, and future-proof. This is both a hands-on and people-focused role: you’ll still code, but also set direction, coach engineers, and drive execution. What You’ll Do

• Lead a team (10-15 engineers) delivering HAL components of the NOS.
• Set priorities, review code, and enforce high-quality engineering practices.
• Coordinate with hardware engineering, control plane, QA, and product teams.
• Provide technical mentorship: help engineers grow in ASIC/driver-level expertise.
• Define sprint goals and ensure timely delivery of features and bug fixes.
• Act as the voice of the HAL team in architectural and planning discussions.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in C/Linux systems programming and networking protocols.
• Experience leading engineering teams (formal management or tech lead capacity).
• Familiarity with vendor SDKs and low-level hardware/software integration.
• Strong communication skills: ability to bridge hardware, control plane, and QA.
• Passion for mentoring and building high-performing teams.
