Team Lead - Control Plane Engineering

About The Role As Team Lead of the Control Plane group, you’ll guide a team of engineers building the NOS routing brain. This is a hybrid role: you’ll still code and review protocol implementations, but you’ll also mentor engineers, manage delivery, and shape the team’s growth. Your team will ensure that the NOS scales across data center fabrics, telco backbones, and multi-cloud environments. What You’ll Do

• Lead a team (5–10 engineers) developing control plane protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, LDP, MPLS, BFD, SNMP).
• Review code, set engineering practices, and ensure protocol correctness and performance.
• Coordinate with data plane, HAL, and management plane teams for seamless end-to-end integration.
• Mentor engineers in protocol design, RFC interpretation, and debugging techniques.
• Drive sprint planning and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Represent the control plane team in system-level architectural reviews.
