The principal of the school is Simon Varley, who joined IES in 2003 as a Science teacher and founded IES Jönköping in 2009. The school currently has 850 students from Years F–9 and 120 staff members.

Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.
