Systems Engineer | Defence & Aerospace

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering organization developing advanced mission-critical systems within the defence and aerospace domain. In this role, you will act as the bridge between customer requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that complex systems are structured, traceable, and aligned throughout the entire development lifecycle. Working closely with architects, software developers, hardware engineers, and customers, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of sophisticated solutions in an environment where quality, reliability, and innovation are key. About The Role As a Systems Engineer, you will be involved in the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition and system architecture to verification and validation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate operational needs into technical solutions, manage system requirements, define interfaces, and support system-level analyses related to performance, availability, and reliability. Working with cutting-edge technology in the defence and aerospace domain, you will contribute to systems that support critical capabilities and real-world missions. You will work alongside experienced specialists in a collaborative and knowledge-driven environment where engineering excellence is highly valued, and where your expertise will have a direct impact on technically complex and meaningful projects. The role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to balance technical detail with a broader systems perspective. You will also participate in customer interactions, technical reviews, project planning activities, and risk management, helping ensure successful project execution from concept through deployment. Throughout the development process, you will have the opportunity to influence system design decisions and contribute to the successful delivery of advanced mission-critical solutions. Requirements We believe you have:

• An MSc degree, or equivalent, in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
• 3-7 years of experience working in complex system environments, ideally within defence, aerospace, telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong experience in requirements engineering and requirement management.
• Experience working closely with software development teams and a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, interfaces, and system integration.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A structured and analytical mindset with a strong focus on traceability, quality, and risk mitigation throughout the system lifecycle.
• Professional working proficiency in English & Danish, both written and spoken.

Experience in any of the following areas will be considered a strong asset:

• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• DOORS, JIRA, or similar engineering tools
• Defence, aerospace, security, telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries
• Real-time, embedded, or distributed systems
• INCOSE methodologies and ISO 15288
