Systems Architect

Join us in Uncrewed Platforms and be a part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of marine robotics! We are seeking a passionate and experienced Systems Architect to join our innovative systems R&D group. You will be part of our Uncrewed Platforms division, dedicated to designing, creating, and building autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). As a Systems Architect you will have the primary goal of defining the systems architecture of our solutions across the Uncrewed Platforms product range. You will contribute to driving activities related to the design of our autonomous maritime systems and ensuring that relevant systems architecting principles, practices, and technologies are utilized throughout our products lifecycles. The role will involve being deeply integrated into all aspects of solutions development from specification and design through to development, delivery, and operations. What you will be doing

• Defining and maintaining the total system architecture of the solution
• Contribute to the high-level breakdown of the system, defining the system interactions and interfaces, and the technologies and resources to be used in the design
• Understanding the requirements - identifying the stakeholders, helping to analyze the requirements and extracting those of architectural significance
• Formulating the design by defining and modelling systems architecture to ensure it meets the various functional and operational requirements, balancing the goals and constraints on the solution
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that defined systems and sub-systems are properly integrated and aligned with the overarching system architecture
• Implementing and overseeing system engineering processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

We think you should have

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
• Proven experience with model-based systems engineering, preferably in the context of uncrewed or autonomous systems
• Strong knowledge of systems architecting and engineering principles, practices, and technologies
• Experience with relevant technologies or domains
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
