About the job As System Architect, Software, you will play a key role in defining and driving the software architecture that supports DEIF's controllers, connectivity, and cloud solutions – and as part of this you will also spearhead our Cyber Security efforts. You will help shape the future technological direction of DEIF by establishing architecture principles, defining reference architectures, and guiding development teams in creating secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. Working closely with software architects, hardware architects, product architects, development teams, and other key stakeholders, you will ensure that technology decisions support both current product development and DEIF's long-term ambitions. • Define and drive the software architecture strategy across Controllers, Connectivity, and Cloud platforms
• Develop and maintain DEIF's software reference architecture
• Ensure architecture decisions support business objectives, scalability, security, and maintainability
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and product architects to create a unified technology roadmap
• Guide and support development teams on architecture and design decisions
• Guide and support the entire organization on Cyber Security (IEC62443, NIS2, CRA etc.)
• Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns to support future product development
• Drive architectural consistency across products and platforms
• Contribute to the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, advanced connectivity, and cloud-native solutions
• Promote best practices within software quality, cyber security, lifecycle management, and governance
• Participate in strategic development projects and help solve complex technical challenges

Your profile You are an experienced Software Architect who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to influence and set direction across a large engineering organisation. You communicate complex technical concepts clearly, build alignment among stakeholders, and are comfortable challenging existing approaches when better solutions exist. You possess the credibility, assertiveness, and collaborative mindset needed to drive architectural decisions across Controllers, Connectivity, and Cloud platforms while ensuring long-term scalability, security, and business value. Furthermore, you:

• Have 5-7 years experience with software architecture and modern software development
• Bring expertise in cloud technologies, cyber security, and scalable software design
• Have experience with embedded systems, connectivity solutions, and/or AI technologies
• Possess strong programming skills in technologies such as C++, C#, or Java
• Enjoy influencing technical direction and collaborating across disciplines
• Communicate fluently in English
