  • Review environmental documentation, risk assessments, method statements and sustainability plans.
  • Support the implementation of recognised environmental management standards, including ISO 14001, alongside relevant sustainability certification requirements where applicable.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners to drive sustainability improvements.
  • Identify non-conformances, implement corrective actions and contribute to continuous improvement across the project.
  • Promote environmental awareness and encourage project teams to take ownership of sustainability performance.

About You We are looking for a practical, delivery-focused sustainability professional who understands the demands of major construction projects and can work effectively alongside site-based teams. You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least five years' experience in a sustainability or environmental role within construction, engineering or the wider built environment.
  • Experience delivering sustainability objectives on major construction or technically complex projects.
  • A strong understanding of environmental compliance, carbon reduction, waste management and resource efficiency.
  • Experience monitoring sustainability KPIs, analysing environmental data and producing project reports.
  • The ability to engage confidently with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
  • A proactive approach to identifying environmental risks and delivering practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within a live project environment.
  • Professional fluency in English.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, energy or data centre developments.
  • Knowledge of Danish and EU environmental legislation and permitting requirements.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems and auditing.
