What you'll do

Company Description Nicodesign is a multidisciplinary design company that creates concepts and specifications to optimize the function, value, and appearance of products and systems for the benefit of both users and manufacturers. The company works across medical, product, furniture, green-tech design solutions, and the industrialization of architecture. Nicodesign’s philosophy centers on accessible, user-focused, and environmentally responsible design that makes everyday life easier and more sustainable. The team emphasizes functionalism, flexibility, and aesthetics, designing objects that address unmet user needs and are considered down to the smallest detail. By working with diverse materials and product forms, Nicodesign fosters innovation without being constrained by traditional limitations, aiming to make good design available to all target groups. Role Description The Student Intern in Communication (Un-paid) will support Nicodesign’s communication and outreach activities in an on-site role based in Copenhagen. This internship role involves assisting with drafting and editing written content for online and offline channels, such as website updates, social media posts, and presentations. The intern will help communicate design concepts, project stories, and sustainability initiatives in a clear and engaging way. Daily tasks may include coordinating with designers to translate technical information into accessible language, supporting basic content planning, and contributing ideas for improving brand visibility. The intern will also assist with administrative communication tasks and learn how design, sustainability, and user-focused innovation are presented to different audiences. Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and engaging way.
  • Interest in design, sustainability, and user-centered innovation, especially within product, medical, or green-tech design contexts.
  • Basic familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., social media platforms, office productivity software, or simple content management systems).
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Copenhagen, show initiative, and manage tasks responsibly in a dynamic design environment.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in Communication, Media, Design, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong attention to detail, openness to feedback, and willingness to learn from multidisciplinary designers and project teams.
