Purpose of the Job We are looking for part-time Student Co-workers to join the Payment Operations team at Ikano Bank at our Hyllie Office. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and executing incoming and outgoing payments in a customer-focused and timely manner. You will monitor payment files, manage reconciliations, and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment-related inquiries. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring a seamless customer journey, reducing operational risks, and driving continuous improvements within the payments function. As a Student Co-worker, you are expected to work on average a minimum of 12 hours per week as well as support with month-end closing during the first and second bank days of the month. To ensure an efficient and seamless onboarding, we recommend that you are able to spend the majority of your time on onboarding and training during the first two weeks of your employment. Responsibilities of the Job - Process incoming and outgoing payments for customers and partners

  • Perform daily account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to support accurate and timely month-end closing
  • Review and resolve unclear or unmatched payments and escalate challenges where needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across countries and departments (e.g., Customer Support, Collections, Accounting, AML) to investigate and solve payment-related issues
  • Communicate with external partners to clarify and resolve payment matters
  • Monitor payment file processing and escalate potential issues
  • Manage incidents by raising tickets, tracking progress, and ensuring timely resolution
  • Oversee shared team inboxes and communication channels
  • Identify and propose improvements to processes, tools, and infrastructure with a focus on compliance, risk mitigation, efficiency, and automation
  • Complete required internal controls accurately and within specified deadlines

Education Level Bachelor's Degree Experience/Demonstrated Competencies We are looking for someone who has some previous experience from a service-oriented, administrative or finance-related role. Experience from banking, payments, accounting or other roles involving data handling and attention to detail is considered an advantage. You are comfortable working with digital tools and handling information accurately, and you are able to follow established processes and routines. Previous experience working with Excel or other business systems is a plus, but not a requirement. As this is a student position, we do not expect you to have extensive professional experience. What matters most is your willingness to learn, sense of responsibility and ability to work accurately and independently. Language Competencies Fluency in English and Swedish is Required. Additional language skills in the Nordic languages, German, or Polish is an advantage. Knowledge required - Basic knowledge of financial concepts and an interest in banking and financial services

  • Good numerical understanding and confidence working with financial data
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and other digital tools
  • Understanding of the importance of accuracy, data quality and following established processes
  • Understanding of confidentiality and responsible handling of customer and financial information

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Capable of working confidently in the Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Excel, as well as in payment-related software systems
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
