Student Assistant - Social Media Marketing

We make furniture and lighting. You help people notice it. UMAGE is looking for a Social Media Student Assistant to help us create, publish and improve content people actually want to see. YOUR JOB You’ll work closely with our Brand & Marketing Manager and help run UMAGE’s social media week by week.

• Plan and schedule content in Later
• Publish across our social channels
• Talk with our community — not at them
• Keep up with trends, formats and what’s happening on social
• Contribute ideas to our content calendar
• Look at performance and help us understand what works
• Suggest better ideas when something doesn’t
• Occasionally help with Trustpilot and other digital touchpoints

WHAT WE CARE ABOUT Most importantly, you should be curious enough to challenge the obvious. You should already have some hands-on experience with social media and know your way around Instagram. You understand content, formats, engagement and what makes people stop scrolling. You have a good visual eye, are comfortable looking at data and, most importantly, bring ideas instead of waiting for a task list. HOW WE THINK ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA We’re working on a new direction for UMAGE’s social media. Less content for the sake of content. Less product shouting. Less “Discover our beautiful new…” More real homes. More personality. More relatability. More reasons to stop. INTERESTED?
