Structural Engineer

We are recruiting a Structural Engineer on behalf of a leading organisation delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical construction projects. This is an opportunity to join complex, high-value developments involving hyperscale data centres and critical infrastructure, where structural integrity, technical coordination and construction quality are essential to successful project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the structural engineering design, technical development and construction execution of reinforced concrete, steel and associated structural systems. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review and coordinate structural engineering designs for large-scale data centre and industrial construction projects.
• Perform structural calculations and analysis for reinforced concrete, structural steel and foundation systems.
• Review structural drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design documentation.
• Coordinate structural engineering requirements with architectural, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.
• Support the assessment of structural loads, including equipment loads, vibration considerations and other data centre-specific requirements.
• Review contractor and subcontractor technical submissions, method statements and proposed design changes.
• Identify and resolve structural design clashes and technical issues during the construction phase.
• Conduct site inspections and provide engineering support to ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
• Assist with technical queries, design modifications, construction sequencing and engineering problem-solving.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and ensure all structural documentation is appropriately controlled.

Requirements & Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience working as a Structural Engineer within construction, infrastructure, industrial or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles, calculations and engineering standards.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, structural steel and foundation design.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes and relevant local construction regulations.
• Experience reviewing structural drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in structural engineering software such as Tekla Structures, Robot Structural Analysis, SAP2000, ETABS or similar.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is essential.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working on data centre, hyperscale, industrial or other complex construction projects.
• Exposure to large-scale structural packages, including equipment foundations, steel structures and reinforced concrete works.
• Experience working within international project teams and coordinating with multiple design consultants and contractors.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and digital engineering platforms.
• Experience supporting projects through both design development and construction execution.
