🍀 Sous Chef Wanted – O’Connor’s Irish Pub, Stavanger Full-time | Start ASAP | 1–2 month trial through Staffers | Permanent opportunity Are you an experienced chef ready to take more responsibility in the kitchen? O’Connor’s Irish Pub Stavanger is looking for an experienced and reliable Sous Chef to join their team as soon as possible. The position will initially be a 1–2 month full-time assignment through Staffers, giving both you and the restaurant the opportunity to make sure it’s a great match. If everything works well, the plan is for you to move into a permanent position directly with O’Connor’s after the trial period. Located in the heart of Stavanger, O’Connor’s combines the atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub with a busy social environment and a kitchen serving classic, hearty pub food. 👨‍🍳 The role As Sous Chef, you’ll play an important role in the daily operation of the kitchen. You’ll work closely with the rest of the kitchen team, take responsibility during service and help make sure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and consistently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking responsibility for the kitchen and service when required
• Preparing and cooking dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standards
• Managing your own section during busy services
• Supporting and guiding other members of the kitchen team
• Organising mise en place and preparation
• Helping maintain good structure and workflow in the kitchen
• Ensuring high standards of quality, cleanliness and food safety
• Keeping calm and organised during busy periods
• Cooperating closely with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Supporting the Head Chef and contributing to the overall operation of the kitchen

🔎 We’re looking for someone who:

• Has solid professional experience as a chef
• Ideally has previous experience as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef or Chef de Partie with additional responsibility
• Is confident taking responsibility during service
• Can work independently and make decisions when needed
• Is organised, reliable and takes ownership of their work
• Works efficiently without compromising quality
• Is comfortable working in a busy, high-volume kitchen
• Has a positive attitude and works well with others
• Can communicate comfortably in English or Norwegian
• Is available to start as soon as possible
• Is interested in a long-term opportunity if the role is a good match

Experience from pub food, casual dining, à la carte or high-volume kitchens is a strong advantage. ⭐ What’s on offer?
