The opportunity We’re looking for an experienced and empathetic Software Engineering Manager to lead our Data & Digital Tooling team, a group of software and data engineers. You’ll be part of our AI & Digital Solutions section and work closely with our AI and DevOps Engineering teams. Your team will develop analysis tools and manage data resources, helping ensure that our R&D organization has the digital solutions it needs to support Olink’s next generation of products. You’ll coach and develop team members, supporting their growth and future success at Olink and in the wider digital and software landscape. What you’ll do

• Help your team define and build advanced tools that support future proteomics discoveries.
• Collaborate with AI and DevOps Engineering to deliver complex analysis pipelines, from cloud infrastructure through to results.
• Support team members’ growth and career development.
• Guide your team in delivering high-quality technical solutions using agile methods and tools.

Qualifications

• A master’s or PhD degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, biotechnology, or a related engineering field.
• Five or more years of relevant industry experience preferred, with proficiency in Python and C# or C++.
• Experience building web applications on cloud platforms.
• Experience with data platforms or data engineering—or a strong willingness to learn and grow in this area.
• Ability to engage with external technology stakeholders.
• At least three years of experience in a leadership role, such as Manager, Product Owner, or Project Manager.
• Experience in agile software methodologies and using Jira and GitHub.
• A strong, values-driven mindset and a natural focus on efficiency and continuous improvement in development and delivery.
• Experience in proteomics is strongly beneficial but not required.
