Software Engineer - Drilling Fluid (m/f/d)

As a Software Engineer, you will join our Drilling Fluid Automation team and contribute to the engineering and delivery of software and automation solutions for complex drilling-fluid applications. Your work will go beyond writing code. You will use engineering drawings, schematics, technical descriptions, and project requirements to develop and program equipment into fully functioning automated process systems. Your responsibilities will span engineering, programming, testing, documentation, and project delivery, giving you exposure to the complete lifecycle of an industrial automation solution. The role offers an opportunity to develop practical expertise across PLC and HMI/SCADA systems while gaining exposure to broader software technologies and engineering tools. As your knowledge develops, you will have the opportunity to work more independently and take greater responsibility for technical and project deliveries. • Develop and program automation solutions for project deliveries.
• Program and support PLC and HMI/SCADA systems.

• Test and verify systems to ensure quality and reliability.
• Prepare engineering and project documentation.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with process automation, including PLC and/or HMI systems.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices, including design patterns and coding standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Collaborative and open-minded approach, with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
