Our client is a European research and development organisation working on next-generation vehicle architectures, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. This is a longterm, full-time, on-site assignment. WE OFFER Longterm, full-time, on-site Software Engineer assignment on Sweden's west coast. JOB DESCRIPTION As a Software Engineer you will build and maintain backend services, microservices and REST APIs for external vehicle data and B2B platform services, plus frontend features for the platform management portal and customer-facing pages. You will design secure integrations (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC), contribute to CI/CD and testing, and take ownership from design through production support. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain backend services, microservices and REST APIs for external vehicle data and B2B platform services - Build platform capabilities for auth, tenant/user management, vehicle management, subscriptions, entitlements, usage metering, billing support and monitoring - Build APIs and integrations that securely expose vehicle data products to customers, partners and third parties - Design and implement secure integration patterns using OAuth 2.0, OIDC and system-to-system authentication - Develop frontend features for the platform management portal and customer-facing web pages (onboarding, API docs, discovery, subscriptions, usage, status) - Collaborate with data engineers to integrate internal data pipelines into secure external services - Contribute to solution design (API contracts, service boundaries, data flows, frontend-backend interfaces, deployment architecture) - Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, tracing and health checks; troubleshoot across backend, frontend, APIs and cloud - Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing and release verification; ensure quality via unit, integration, API, UI and regression tests - Support customer/partner onboarding with technical guidance and API documentation; document architecture and key decisions REQUIREMENTS - 3–5 years in software engineering, backend or full-stack development - Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related (or equivalent experience) - Hands-on experience designing and maintaining backend services, microservices and REST APIs in production - Strong programming in at least one of Java, Python, Go or Node.js - Good understanding of software architecture, API contracts, integration patterns and distributed systems - Practical experience with authentication/authorization (preferably OAuth 2.0, OIDC, system-to-system) - Experience with modern frontend (React, Angular or Vue, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS) - Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases - Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch or equivalent) - Practical CI/CD, automated testing, deployment and release experience - Ability to troubleshoot across apps, APIs, integrations, deployments and cloud environments - Fluent English - On-site west coast Sweden, longterm, full-time PREFERRED - Integrations with partner platforms or multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud) - API management, rate limiting, usage monitoring and observability - Automotive B2B / data sharing products, subscription services, tenant management or customer portals - Previous Geely-group data domain experience YOUR PROFILE Pragmatic, self-driven and solution-oriented.
