Site Manager – 420kV GIS Substation Project | Norway We are currently seeking an experienced Site Managers to support a major 420kV GIS substation project in Norway. Our client has been awarded the EPC contract for the GIS scope of a Substation project, a major transmission infrastructure development being delivered to increase grid capacity and strengthen regional power supply. The Role As Site Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the coordination and supervision of site installation, testing and commissioning activities, working closely with the project team, customer and appointed M&E subcontractor. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall management and coordination of site activities
  • Supervision of the M&E installation subcontractor
  • Management of site safety, quality and schedule
  • Coordination with project management and engineering teams
  • Customer and stakeholder interface
  • Progress reporting and site administration
  • Coordination of installation, testing and commissioning activities
  • Supporting Mechanical Completion, SAT and energisation
  • Ensuring compliance with project procedures, contractual requirements and Norwegian regulations

Project Details Location: Norway Start: February 2027 Duration: 10 months Rolling Rotation: 12 days on / 16 days off Shifts: 12-hour shifts Potential extension! Two Site Managers will work on a complementary rotation to ensure continuous site management coverage throughout the installation phase. About You We are looking for candidates with:

  • Significant Site Management experience on HV transmission, substation, GIS or EPC projects
  • Proven experience managing site-based subcontractors and construction activities
  • Strong HSEQ knowledge within major infrastructure projects
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary site teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting testing, commissioning and energisation activities
  • Previous experience with 132kV, 300kV, 400kV or 420kV projects is highly desirable
  • Experience within the Nordic power transmission sector is advantageous
  • Fluent Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to commit to the proposed rotation and maintain a strong site presence
