What you'll do

Shipping Interns and Graduates or Trainees Ready to kickstart your career with a global shipping company? As a Shipping Intern and Graduate or Trainee at TORM, you will join an international organization and embark on a journey of discovery and growth in the exciting world of shipping. What Can TORM Offer? For TORM Trainees, we offer a two-year program, and if you are a student at BSc International Shipping and Trade (IST) or similar programs, you can join TORM’s nine-month internship followed by a one-year full-time graduate program from September 2027 to August 2029. Two positions are available, and our trainees/interns and graduates will leave the program with qualifications in all key areas of shipping. You will rotate and experience different departments in TORM, including commercial operations, chartering, bunker purchase, and corporate functions such as corporate finance and strategy, sale and purchase, business intelligence, etc. This rotation will provide comprehensive insight into the business. You can also explore our working culture at one of our offices abroad during a four-month exchange. Teamwork and Support Your growth and professional development will be guided by mentors and a supportive team. Our culture is informal with emphasis on collaboration, performance, psychological safety, and flexibility. We all work together as “One TORM” to be the reference company in our industry, and our colleagues are committed to this way of working. It’s a challenging and rewarding journey to be a TORM trainee/intern and graduate, and you will need to prioritize work and learning. During the program, you will be based at our office in Hellerup, joining an international environment with colleagues from around the world. You will be enrolled in Danish Shipping’s Education Program with five modules over two years, where you will take away valuable learnings and a great network in the industry. We Also Offer

  • An exciting and informal work environment
  • Exchange to our office(s) abroad
  • A vast network in the shipping industry
  • Career opportunities
  • A range of social activities and celebrations, including a yearly ski trip and much more

To Succeed in the Job If you’re the right match for TORM, you are eager to learn and try new things. You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where having fun also is important. You are passionate about your job and always have your customers’ needs in mind. You can also check this on your list:

  • You just completed your formal education (high school as a minimum)
  • Or you are in your second year of BSc in International Shipping and Trade at CBS or a similar program
  • Have a keen interest in building a career within shipping
  • Are a team player who is also able to work independently
  • Are enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to multi-task and value integrity
  • Have a global mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • It will be considered an advantage if you have experience from the industry, a relevant student job, time abroad, or speak additional languages

The successful candidate will be one who thrives with the collaborative atmosphere at TORM and is excited to get to know new people. Compensation For trainees, we offer a full-time position on a trainee salary, and if you are a student, we offer a nine-month unpaid internship, working 25 hours per week, and the opportunity to “top it off” with a paid Student Assistant position for the remaining 12 hours per week. After the internship, we offer a competitive graduate salary. For further information, please contact: Veronica Bermann Krivaa, People Business Partner.
