Shape the future of Saab IT - Head of IT digital transformation office

As Head of IT Digital Transformation Office within the CIO Office, you will lead a strategically important area with a Saab-wide mandate. This role is about turning strategic priorities into coordinated delivery and measurable business outcomes. By bringing together PMO capabilities with expertise in programme and project leadership, architecture, business analysis and organisational change management, you will strengthen Saab’s ability to deliver complex transformation across organisational boundaries. Your role As Head of IT Digital Transformation Office, you lead the organisation, people and capabilities within the area, while driving transformation execution in alignment with Saab’s business and technology priorities. Your mission is to ensure that strategic transformation initiatives move from ambition to delivery and adoption. You will bring together the capabilities needed to translate business needs into clear delivery plans, coordinate execution and embed new capabilities and ways of working. You will create transparency on delivery performance, risks and expected outcomes, ensuring that obstacles are addressed and decisions are escalated when needed. Working closely with business and technology leaders, you will connect enterprise-wide priorities with execution across Group IT, Business Areas and Group Functions. You will be part of the CIO Office management team. You will work closely with business leaders, technology leaders and key stakeholders across Saab to strengthen transformation capabilities and enable successful change. The role requires travel to meet with your teams and stakeholders. In this role, you will

• Lead, develop and engage employees and leaders within the area
• Drive the execution of strategic transformation programmes and projects across Saab, in partnership with business and technology owners
• Lead Saab’s shared PMO capability, establishing common practices for execution follow-up and reporting in collaboration with PMOs in the enterprise
• Manage dependencies across programmes and projects and drive resolution of issues that put delivery or business outcomes at risk
• Provide senior management with a consolidated Saab wide view of programme and project progress, risks, dependencies and decisions required
• Ensure transformation delivery aligns with enterprise architecture direction and applicable governance and security requirements
• Establish common approaches to transformation planning, follow-up and benefit realisation
• Strengthen Saab's transformation capabilities, ways of working and change management practices

At the same time, you combine strategic thinking with strong judgement and the ability to build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. Key qualifications and experience

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Strong people leadership and talent development skills
• Extensive experience leading large-scale technology-enabled transformation in complex organisations
• A strong track record of delivering strategic programmes and measurable business outcomes
• Experience leading or developing PMO programme and project delivery capabilities
• Strong understanding of programme, project and portfolio execution, delivery assurance, dependency management and benefits realisation
• Experience bringing together business, architecture and delivery teams to execute complex change
• Experience advising and influencing senior leaders in complex organisations
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience driving large-scale transformation, strategic change or organisational development initiatives
• Experience from large, complex and global organisations
• Experience from the defence industry or other highly regulated and security-sensitive industries is considered an advantage
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
