What you'll do

Are you motivated by financial analysis, valuation and investor reporting in an international impact investment organisation? As a (Senior) Valuation Analyst in Impact Fund Denmark, you will help analyse and value a diverse portfolio of investments in developing countries and emerging markets. The role combines financial modelling with meaningful work that supports sustainable development and contributes to green, just and inclusive societies. The job Your main responsibility will be to prepare valuations of Impact Fund Denmark’s portfolio investments for financial accounts and quarterly external investor reporting. As the portfolio consists primarily of non-listed investments, you will work with income-based and market-based valuation models to determine fair market value. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Denmark and across our regional offices, supporting reporting processes, investment-related analysis, and the continuous improvement of our processes, tools, and digital solutions. You will play an important role in identifying opportunities to make our valuation and reporting processes more efficient, robust, and data driven. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare valuations of Impact Fund Denmark’s investment portfolio for internal and external reporting purposes
  • Prepare quarterly external investor reports, financial reporting to the Board and reporting to other key stakeholders
  • Support investment professionals with financial analysis, financial modelling and valuation work related to new investments and exits
  • Prepare portfolio analyses and insights for senior management to support decision-making, prioritisation and portfolio oversight
  • Validate, reconcile and align financial input across the investment portfolio
  • Develop and maintain valuation tools and identify opportunities to simplify, improve and automate valuation and reporting processes
  • Contribute to the development of digital solutions and tools that improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and transparency across the portfolio

The team You will join the Valuation & Reporting Team, a small team of four reporting to the Head of Valuation & Reporting. The team is responsible for value assessment, financial modelling and management and investor reporting. You will work closely with colleagues across all levels of the organisation, as well as with Impact Fund Denmark’s regional offices. We place great emphasis on structure, diligence, teamwork and collaboration across the organisation. We support each other, share knowledge and take pride in delivering high-quality work with integrity. At the same time, we value an informal culture where there is room to have fun together. Your qualifications & experience We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and an interest in valuation, financial modelling and impact investing. You are diligent, proactive and comfortable working with complex financial information in an international setting. In addition, you have:

  • Strong analytical and digital capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive, collaborative approach
  • Experience with valuations, financial modelling and designing financial analyses
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst, for example from corporate finance, investment banking, or a similar field
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Strong communication skills and excellent written and spoken English
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Experience with SQL and Bloomberg is an advantage; a strong motivation to learn and develop digital capabilities is essential
