Senior Test Developer

Senior Test Developer | Python & Test Automation We are looking for a Senior Test Developer to develop and continuously improve an automated regression test environment for embedded software. The role has a strong focus on Python automation, troubleshooting unstable tests, root-cause analysis, and improving overall test reliability. Location: Stockholm Mode of work: Hybrid Contract Duration: 6 months + extensions Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests in Python.
• Investigate failing, unstable, and intermittent tests and identify root causes.
• Analyse logs, test results, and system behaviour.
• Improve test robustness and reduce false/intermittent failures.
• Maintain and enhance test frameworks and supporting tools.
• Integrate automated regression testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers and testers on defect investigation and resolution.

Key Requirements

• Senior-level experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong hands-on Python experience.
• Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated test suites.
• Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience analysing logs, test results, and complex test environments.
• Hands-on Git experience.
• Independent, structured, and methodical approach to technical problem-solving.

Nice to Have

• Embedded software/system testing.
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
• pytest or similar Python frameworks.
• CI/CD troubleshooting.
• Embedded communication protocols/interfaces.
• Jira and/or Jama.
• Large-scale automated regression environments.
