Senior Test Automation Lead - Exterior Lighting/ Exterior Functions

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Lead / SPOC to lead test automation activities for advanced automotive Exterior Lighting and Exterior Function systems. The role combines technical leadership, test automation strategy, stakeholder management, and onsite-offshore coordination to ensure delivery of high-quality automated verification solutions integrated into Continuous Integration (CI) environments. The candidate will act as the primary technical focal point for automation development, validation activities, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple testing levels including vehicle, system, integration, and component verification. Main Responsibilities: Technical Leadership :

• Lead and coordinate onsite and offshore test automation teams.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to automation engineers.
• Act as the primary technical interface between development, integration, verification, and CI teams.
• Establish and enforce automation best practices, coding standards, and framework governance.

Test Automation Strategy :

• Define and drive the overall test automation strategy aligned with project goals and quality objectives.
• Develop scalable automation architectures and CI/CD integration approaches.
• Evaluate and adopt innovative techniques, including AI-assisted test generation, where beneficial.

Test Analysis & Planning:

• Analyze requirements, features, and verification needs to identify automation opportunities.
• Develop automation test plans, effort estimates, schedules, and resource strategies.
• Ensure alignment between automation activities, delivery milestones, and program objectives.

Test Execution & Delivery :

• Oversee development, maintenance, and execution of automated test cases.
• Ensure test coverage across: Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) ,Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Vehicle/System Integration Testing, Component-Level Verification, Regression and Confirmation Testing
• Drive successful deployment of automated tests into CI environments.

Quality Assurance & Reporting :

• Monitor automation progress, quality metrics, risks, and defect trends.
• Lead regular technical reviews and status reporting activities.
• Ensure test automation deliverables meet quality, maintainability, and performance expectations.
• Communicate delivery status and recommendations to stakeholders.

Domain Support & Collaboration:

• Provide technical expertise within: Exterior Lighting ,Visibility Systems ,Vehicle Locking Functions .Alarm Systems ,Door and Closure Systems
• Support onsite investigations, manual verification activities, and requirement clarifications.
• Work closely with software development, system integration, CI, and validation teams.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in quality assurance and verification of complex embedded systems.
• Experience leading automotive test automation activities and distributed engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder and delivery management capabilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
