Senior Test Automation Engineer – .NET (Power System Analysis) Location: Sundbyberg, Sweden Contract Duration: 1 Year - extendable Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in C#/.NET development and test automation to join a delivery team. The team develops applications that process large volumes of data to support operational planning of the Swedish electricity transmission grid. The consultant will be responsible for designing and improving automated testing frameworks, developing automated tests using Playwright with C#/.NET, and integrating quality assurance into CI/CD pipelines. The role requires strong software development skills, a focus on security, and the ability to influence technical design decisions and improve overall software quality. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks using Playwright and C#/.NET.
• Develop and execute automated tests across unit, integration, system, end-to-end and acceptance testing.
• Perform manual, exploratory and regression testing when required.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and implement quality gates within DevOps workflows.
• Create, manage and maintain test data and ensure test environments closely reflect production environments.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, DevOps engineers and business stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions, promoting testability and high-quality code.
• Coach developers and team members on test automation, testing best practices and quality-driven development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of test strategies, processes and automation frameworks.
• Identify potential security vulnerabilities, performance issues and system defects.

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in test automation and software development using C#/.NET.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using C#/.NET.
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of unit, integration, system, end-to-end and acceptance testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Knowledge of test data management and test environment configuration.
• Experience with code reviews, technical design and improving software testability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to the development team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience testing applications that process large volumes of data.
• Knowledge of IT security, secure software development and performance testing.
• Experience in the energy sector, power systems or critical infrastructure.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
