Mercury has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing Talent Acquisition team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced recruiter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering closely with hiring managers and finding talented professionals for a growing international business. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will manage end-to-end recruitment across your allocated business areas, working with hiring managers to understand their talent needs, develop effective sourcing strategies and attract the right people to Mercury. The role is based onsite in Vaasa, Finland At Mercury, we encourage our people to realise their vision for themselves. • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for your allocated business areas, from initial vacancy briefing through to offer and onboarding.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with hiring managers and business leaders, developing a clear understanding of their current and future talent requirements.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment and sourcing strategies for a range of professional roles.
• Proactively identify and engage talent using LinkedIn, social media, direct sourcing, talent networks and other recruitment channels.
• Develop talent pipelines for key and hard-to-fill roles, helping Mercury take a proactive approach to future hiring requirements.
• Provide hiring managers with market insights and recruitment expertise, including candidate availability, market trends and sourcing challenges.
• Screen and assess candidates against role requirements, ensuring a high-quality shortlist and an excellent candidate experience.
• Partner with and coach hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, including interview preparation, candidate assessment and selection.
• Conduct interviews alongside hiring managers where appropriate.
• Ensure vacancies are advertised effectively through our careers site, ATS and appropriate external recruitment channels, with support from the Talent Acquisition administration team.
• Manage candidates through the offer and pre-boarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into Mercury.
• Support recruitment events, careers fairs, open days and graduate recruitment activities.
• Maintain accurate recruitment information and use data and insights to support recruitment decisions and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Talent Acquisition and the wider HR team to deliver a consistent, high-quality recruitment service.

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of five years' recruitment experience, gained within an in-house Talent Acquisition team and/or recruitment agency environment.
• Experience recruiting within Construction or Engineering essential
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple vacancies and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong direct sourcing skills, including experience using LinkedIn and social media to identify and engage talent.
• The confidence to build relationships with and influence hiring managers and stakeholders at different levels of an organisation.
• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Good systems and IT capability, with experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Fluent written and spoken English.
