ABOUT VENDY Hundreds of millions of old phones sit unused in European drawers. Vendy's automated buyback kiosks let people sell their old smartphone and walk away with money in seconds. We are solving the supply crisis in our industry by making smartphone recycling as easy as recycling old bottles. We're live across Sweden, and already building toward Europe's largest collection network. Sweden has a track record of turning hardware-meets-consumer ideas into serious businesses: Voi, Budbee, Instabox to name a few. Vendy is building the next one. THE ROLE We're an early-stage team, which means our tech stack and architecture are still evolving as we scale. You'd join as one of our key engineers, with real influence over the technical decisions that shape what we build on for years to come, not just implementing someone else's plan. The work spansare that runsthe kiosk network, the internal tools our operations team uses every day, and the data that tells us how the network is performing. WHAT YOU'LL OWN • The software that powers our network: the systems the kiosks and the business run on • Internal tools that keep operations running: inventory, fleet operations, sales flows and dashboards • Genuine input on architecture and stack choices as we grow from Sweden into the rest of Europe WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Truly full-stack: comfortable across frontend and backend as priorities shift • Product-minded: you care about the customer experience as much as the backend • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where you set the plan yourself • Experience with Android is a big plus • Hardware or embedded systems experience is a plus • AI-native: you build with AI tooling as part of your daily workflow and want to help shape how we use it as a team WHY JOIN Early-stage ownership, real technical influence and equity in a company that is profitable and scaling.
