Senior Software Developer

emagine is looking for at Senior Software Developer for our partner within the financial sector. Introduction & Summary: An experienced backend consultant is sought to join a reporting initiative focused on implementing functionality that allows banks to make corrections to previously submitted reports. The role entails backend development within a modern microservice architecture, including the analysis of business requirements, implementation of technical solutions, and ensuring secure and reliable processing of correction data. Main Responsibilities:

• Implementing user stories related to correction functionality.
• Developing REST APIs.
• Retrieving, aggregating, and validating data from databases.
• Publishing and consuming messages through messaging queues.
• Implementing business rules related to reporting and correction processes.
• Writing automated tests and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Participating in design discussions, code reviews, and refinement activities.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of REST API development.
• Familiarity with messaging queues.
• Experience with DB2 and SQL.
• Proficiency in GitHub.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot.

Other Details: This assignment is part of a modernized initiative with a focus on delivering robust correction functionality. The consultant is expected to contribute to maintaining delivery velocity while collaborating with other team members involved in parallel projects. The position is hybrid, requiring approximately three onsite days per week with a start date of October 1 and a tentative end date of December 31, with a possibility of extension.
