Senior Simulation & AI Specialist

Turn advanced simulation into better tools – and help us bring AI into engineering This is an opportunity to take a key specialist role in how we use simulation to develop injection molding tools. You will work with complex mold flow simulations and turn the results into decisions that improve tool design, manufacturability and production. At the same time, you will help us explore the next step in Tool Design: how existing AI technologies can be applied to engineering tasks and free up capacity for the complex work where specialist expertise matters most. You will work across Tool Design, Mechanical Engineering and production, combining deep technical expertise with close collaboration. Your work will influence both new product development and how we improve tools already running in volume production. Ultimately, better tools and engineering processes help us develop better hearing solutions for people around the world. What This Role Covers You will be a key specialist within mold flow simulation, covering new tool development as well as optimization of existing injection molding tools. The role spans Moldex simulation, DfM support, material and production investigations and the integration of mold flow results with other simulation disciplines. You will also help identify and implement practical applications of AI within Tool Design – from design activities to 3D-print preparation and other engineering workflows. What You Will Do

• Perform Moldex simulations for new injection molding tools and communicate the findings through clear simulation reports.
• Advise Mechanical Engineers and Technical Project Managers during the DfM process.
• Use simulation to investigate and improve existing tool designs in volume production.
• Explore ways to reduce runner systems and material consumption without compromising molding performance.
• Perform fiber orientation simulations and connect Moldex with simulation activities across Mechanical Engineering.
• Support investigations of new materials for injection molding.
• Help develop and maintain our simulation setup in collaboration with relevant specialists.
• Identify where existing AI technologies can create value in Tool Design and help bring them into practical use.
• Explore AI-supported workflows within areas such as DfM, design maturity, SolidWorks and preparation for 3D printing.
• Collaborate with AI specialists across the organisation to represent Tool Design needs and expertise in broader AI initiatives.

Who You Are You are an experienced simulation specialist who understands injection molding beyond the simulation model itself. You know how tool design, materials, process conditions and production realities affect the result – and you use that understanding to challenge simulations and turn them into sound engineering recommendations. You have:

• A background in Tool Design, Plastic Production Specialist, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Solid hands-on experience with injection molding and mold flow simulation.
• Experience with Moldex or comparable advanced simulation software.
• A strong understanding of tool design, materials and manufacturing processes.
• The ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly and work across engineering disciplines.

You do not need to be an AI developer. What matters is that you are curious about the possibilities of AI and motivated by finding practical ways to apply new technology to engineering work.
