We help gamers enjoy multiplayer game experiences with their friends. Unlike most other game server hosting providers, we've built our own game server management software and infrastructure ourselves from scratch. We've done this to build the best possible user experience. We realize most players who come to us just want to get on the server and start playing with their friends, so we focus on making things as simple as possible with as few interruptions as possible. DatHost is a small, profitable business that's growing quickly. You'll work with colleagues across product, marketing, support, and engineering, with the opportunity to make a visible contribution to the business. Role overview We're looking for an experienced SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) specialist to lead organic growth at DatHost. You'll bring a strong track record in SEO and hands-on experience testing how brands are discovered, cited, or recommended by AI answer engines. You'll help players and server admins find us, whether they're searching on Google or asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini for the best Minecraft server hosting. This is a full-funnel role with meaningful autonomy: you'll help shape the strategy, identify opportunities, and execute solutions to improve the journey from discovery to signup and paid subscription. We care about business outcomes, not just rankings and impressions. Responsibilities Search & AI Visibility Strategy

• Lead DatHost's SEO and GEO strategy, from understanding user intent and researching keywords and prompts.
• Always interested in learning how people discover information across traditional search engines and AI answer engines. Run thoughtful tests as these platforms evolve, and share the results with the team.

Content & On-Page Optimization

• Plan, brief, write, and improve content such as landing pages, guides, FAQs, and comparison pages. Make it useful to people and clear for search engines and AI systems to understand.
• Audit and improve existing pages for technical SEO and conversion opportunities.

Traffic to Conversion

• Lead work across the journey from organic visibility to signup and paid conversion. Rankings and traffic are useful indicators, but new revenue is the goal.
• Partner with the team to improve landing pages, calls to action, and onboarding based on what users need and what the data tells us.

Measurement & Reporting

• Track rankings, organic traffic, AI visibility and citations, signups, conversion rates, and revenue where attribution is available.
• Create straightforward reports showing what is working, what isn't, the business impact, and what to do next.
• During your first 90 days, review our current performance, identify the biggest opportunities, and agree on measurable targets with the team. We won't expect you to promise results before you've assessed the data; we will expect a clear plan.

What you'll bring Core experience

• Hands-on SEO experience and examples of improving organic performance and revenue. You can explain the results, your contribution, and what you learned. Equivalent experience gained through different paths is welcome.

Practical GEO / AI search optimization experience.

• You've tested ways to help brands appear in, or be cited or recommended by, tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. You can explain your approach, results, limitations, and next steps. We value thoughtful experiments over claims that any tactic guarantees citations.
• You take initiative, help shape priorities, and move work forward. You can work independently while collaborating with others and asking for input when it helps.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Helpful, but not essential

• Experience in gaming, hosting, SaaS.
• Familiarity with Minecraft, Valheim, CS or other multiplayer game communities.
