Would you like to combine deep scientific expertise with the opportunity to influence how scientific activities are prioritised, coordinated and developed in a growing pharma services organisation? At Unilabs Pharma Solutions in Copenhagen, you will play a key role in developing and validating the analytical methods that help bring new medicines safely to patients. To support the continued growth of Unilabs Pharma Solutions, this newly established Senior Scientist position has been created to further strengthen the Scientific function. Reporting directly to the Head of Site Copenhagen, you will play a central role in ensuring scientific excellence across method development, validation and customer projects. Operating at the intersection of science, laboratory operations and business, you will contribute to the continued development of the Scientific function while supporting the delivery of innovative therapies to patients worldwide. The Copenhagen site plays a central role within the Pharma Solutions business, providing bioanalytical and biomarker services to a global customer base. Working in a highly collaborative environment, scientists, project managers and laboratory specialists join forces to deliver high-quality scientific solutions while continuously developing new methods, capabilities and services. As Senior Scientist your responsibilities include: Responsibilities:

  • Development and validation of new assays, and maintenance and improvement of existing ones
  • Validation reports, interim reports and other scientific reporting
  • Scientific sparring and troubleshooting with the laboratory team
  • Training and guidance of laboratory staff and review of SOPs
  • Participation in customer meetings and technical discussions as a scientific expert
  • Input to Business Development and project managers on customer needs, time estimates and quotes
  • Contributing to the planning, prioritisation, coordination and continuous improvement of activities and processes within the Scientific team
  • Supporting continuous improvement of scientific processes and quality standards

Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate with a relevant scientific degree within Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related discipline and have gained experience within a regulated laboratory environment supporting pharmaceutical or biotechnology projects. Experience from a CRO, contract laboratory or similar environment is considered an advantage. You are comfortable applying scientific expertise across complex projects and have experience with analytical methods, assay development, validation and troubleshooting. Experience with immunoassays and related analytical techniques such as ELISA, MSD and PCR/qPCR is highly desirable. You combine strong scientific knowledge with a structured and pragmatic approach and are able to communicate effectively with both scientific and non-scientific stakeholders. Experience working within GxP-regulated environments and familiarity with relevant quality standards such as GCP, IVDR, ISO 15189 or similar frameworks is considered an advantage. Personally, you are collaborative, quality-oriented and motivated by continuous improvement. You thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple concurrent projects and enjoy working across functions to deliver high-quality scientific solutions. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
