Senior SAP FICO Consultant

About the Role SkillHuset Sweden AB is looking for an experienced Senior SAP Application Expert in FICO (Financial Accounting & Controlling) for a consulting assignment with a leading international organization in Stockholm. You will join a collaborative, cross-functional team responsible for the end-to-end maintenance, support, configuration and development of SAP Finance solutions supporting global business operations. The role involves improving existing solutions, designing new functionality, supporting global rollouts and ensuring compliance, efficiency and reliability across financial accounting and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, support and enhance SAP Finance (FICO) solutions.
• Manage financial closing, reporting, organizational structures, asset accounting and intercompany reconciliation.
• Support legal compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and SAP solutions.
• Participate in global SAP implementation projects and rollouts.
• Ensure alignment with global SAP templates and architecture standards.
• Configure SAP systems and prepare functional specifications for new functionality.
• Support testing, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders, technical teams and developers.
• Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance (FICO), particularly SAP ECC.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance system design, configuration and business processes.
• Experience with financial closing, financial reporting and organizational structures.
• Strong expertise in Asset Accounting and Intercompany Reconciliation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of legal reporting, including VAT, Intrastat, SAF-T, e-invoicing and taxation.
• Participation in at least 2 SAP implementation projects.
• Experience with SAP transport and change management tools, including STMS, SAP Solution Manager and Active Control.
• Experience with WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms) from a functional perspective.
• Experience working with SAP Finance solutions in large international organizations.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents and related tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC).
• Experience with SWIFT integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including SAFe.
