Senior Quality Engineer / Test Automation Specialist

We are looking for experienced Senior Quality Engineers / Test Automation Specialists to join our team in long-term assignments. You will help ensure the quality, stability and performance of Point of Sale (POS) and checkout solutions in a complex technical environment. The role combines hands-on testing with technical ownership of quality. You will work across payment systems, integrations, hardware and backend services. You will design and automate end-to-end tests and drive technical issues from investigation to resolution, working closely with development teams, technical stakeholders and external vendors. - Design, develop, execute and automate end-to-end tests across POS systems, payment solutions, integrations, hardware and backend services - Perform hands-on testing in physical POS and test environments - Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues across software, hardware and distributed systems - Develop, maintain and improve automated test frameworks and test coverage - Define and implement test strategies that ensure high-quality delivery - Maintain quality documentation, test results and release readiness - Collaborate with development teams, technical stakeholders and external vendors - Take ownership of quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle Requirements - 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, test automation or complex system testing - Strong experience with POS systems, checkout solutions and payment integrations - Advanced knowledge of end-to-end, integration, system and automated testing - Experience with API testing and CI/CD environments - Strong troubleshooting skills across software, hardware, integrations, logs and distributed systems - Practical experience from physical test environments involving hardware and software integrations - Proven ability to independently define test strategies and drive automation - Experience collaborating with multiple engineering teams and external vendors - Proficiency in English and advanced Swedish Nice to Have - Experience with card payment terminals, payment service providers or checkout hardware - Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar - Coding or scripting experience in Java, Python, JavaScript or C# - ISTQB certification Benefits - Are independent and proactive, and take ownership to drive work forward - Are analytical and solution-oriented, with strong troubleshooting skills - Combine strategic quality thinking with hands-on execution - Are communicative and comfortable working with different technical teams and stakeholders - Are structured, quality-driven and focused on continuous improvement
