Senior Python Backend Engineer

I’ve just started working with a company I’m genuinely interested in: an Energy Tech Startup in Stockholm that’s hiring a Senior Backend Engineer. What they do: software for businesses to manage EV charging, solar and batteries. The founders have scaled products at some of the Nordics’ best-known tech companies, and the business is well funded. What stood out to me: How stack is secondary to mindset and cultural fit. They really want someone that can become a part of there team and take ownership. The stack is Go, Python and AWS, with MQTT and IoT integrations, but they’ve told me they’d rather hire someone with the right mindset than a perfect keyword match. Tech Stack: Go and AWS for backend (Lambda, RDS, IoT Core), GCP and Python for data, MQTT and third party APIs for IoT integrations. The role:

• Build and scale APIs behind real energy infrastructure
• Take features from design through to deployment and monitoring
• Work day to day with backend and data engineers

Who they’re after: someone who has shipped and maintained production systems independently, likes digging into the “why”, and is happy in a small team. Realistically that’s 5+ years of experience.
