What you'll do

We're looking for a part-time process engineer who codes At Planck we design advanced porous materials (MOFs, zeolites, COFs) together with the engineering systems they operate in – gas separation, gas storage, hydrogen, CO2, oxygen. The materials side is strong. We now need more hands on the process side. What you'd do:

  • Write process simulations in Python – adsorption-based separation and storage, from the governing equations up
  • Build surrogate models on top of those simulations – machine learning that makes the full models fast enough to use in design loops
  • Size and evaluate systems – beds, cycles, energy use, cost
  • Work directly with our scientists and with customers' engineers on real projects

What we're looking for:

  • Chemical/process engineering background, ideally with adsorption, PSA/TSA or gas storage
  • Comfortable writing code, not just running tools – Python, numerical methods, and some ML experience
  • Based in the Oslo area or able to work remotely with occasional days at Aker Tech House, Lysaker

This is a part-time role, [20–50%], flexible on hours. Could suit someone finishing a PhD, a researcher with capacity, or an experienced engineer who wants to build something new. Interested, or know someone? Send me a message or write to contact@planck-tech.no #processengineering #python #machinelearning #hydrogen #carboncapture #startup #Oslo
