What you'll do

SHAPING OUR AI CAPABILITIES Are you motivated by building the platform that powers a company's AI ambitions, alongside a team of highly skilled and similarly motivated engineers? Then you may just be the perfect fit for our Cloud Platform team in STARK Group IT. We are at the early stages of establishing an AI Center of Excellence in partnership with the CTO Office, and our Platform team is building the infrastructure capabilities needed to support it, from hosting AI agents to enabling on-prem AI workloads. This is an opportunity to help shape those capabilities as they evolve. The mission, should you choose to accept it As our new Senior Platform Engineer, you will join our existing cloud team, taking responsibility for applying modern cloud disciplines and technologies to design and implement the Cloud Platform used by more than 17 development teams and powering solutions for our 20,000 global employees. Increasingly, that also means helping shape how AI is used across the company - working hand in hand with the CTO's office as they build out the AI Center of Excellence, contributing to what "good" looks like for agentic usage, cost and credit management, agent scaling, and building the platform capabilities that make it all work in practice. This isn't just an infrastructure role. You'll help define guidance and best practices alongside the CoE, as well as build the platform underneath it - a rare chance to shape both the standards and the systems from the ground up. You'll become part of a highly performant, international team that gives you plenty of freedom in how you work, along with responsibility to make your own impact. Your work with us will primarily, but not exclusively, revolve around the following areas:

  • Expand our Azure Cloud capabilities, leaning on IaC as your main tool and following the principles of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
  • Build and operate the infrastructure for agentic AI workloads, including agent hosting, orchestration, and the platform capabilities needed to run them reliably at scale.
  • Build toward a truly hybrid AI setup, pairing cloud-native AI capabilities with on-prem infrastructure so workloads can run wherever makes the most sense.
  • Contribute to the guidance and standards coming out of the AI CoE, helping define what "good" looks like for agentic usage, credit and cost management, and agent scaling across the company.
  • Strengthen and tune our Kubernetes workloads, making sure they run with the performance, resilience, and efficiency our business depends on.
  • Drive a Platform Engineering approach to our cloud and AI infrastructure and tooling, working closely with Software Engineering teams and the AI CoE to build cohesive, developer-friendly experiences.
  • Deliver on a modern, secure, and scalable cloud architecture, which you will help shape - one that's increasingly built with AI workloads in mind.

To succeed in this role, we are not just looking for someone who checks boxes - we're looking for someone honest, vocal, and unafraid to challenge the status quo when you see ways we can improve. Who are we looking for? So, if you enjoy spotting the glitches in the Matrix before anyone else does, or you’ve ever whispered "it's always DNS" to yourself (even when the culprit turned out to be a misbehaving agent), we consider that a positive sign. Those qualities tend to go hand in hand with what we're looking for: someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, isn't afraid to challenge established ways of working, and combines technical depth with a pragmatic mindset, helping us build and evolve the platform capabilities that support both today's cloud services and tomorrow's AI ambitions. The skills that will help you thrive include:

  • A solid grasp of the Azure Cloud ecosystem, understanding both its opportunities and its boundaries.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Bicep, and the ability to bring structure, clarity, and repeatability to how we build cloud resources.
  • Comfort with scripting, whether your tool of choice is Python, Bash, or PowerShell, to automate tasks and streamline operational workflows.
  • Experience with Kubernetes fundamentals, including deployments, services, and scaling.
  • Curiosity about or exposure to AI infrastructure concepts - things like model hosting, agent orchestration frameworks, or GPU-backed workloads - even if you're not an AI expert yet.
  • General familiarity with CI/CD and networking, giving you a well-rounded foundation for how we do cloud engineering.

Welcome to Group IT When joining Group IT, you will be joining a digital transformation journey as we replace our legacy systems and transition towards a modular and flexible integrated setup.
