Senior Planner

Hi, We're looking for a freelance Senior Planner to join a major steel mill project in Boden, Sweden. Job Title: Senior Planner Start: November / ASAP Duration: 12 Months Location: Boden, Sweden (On-site) Contract: Freelance Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage and maintain the integrated project schedule, supporting site contractors with planning, progress monitoring and forecasting.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to ensure alignment with overall project milestones.
• Prepare detailed schedule analyses, progress reports, lookahead schedules and updates for project management.
• Identify potential delays, assess schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Liaise with area managers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination across work packages.
• Monitor critical path activities, project interfaces and contractor performance throughout construction and commissioning.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5–15 years' experience in project planning and scheduling, ideally on large-scale industrial, steel, manufacturing or EPC/EPCM projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Proven experience managing complex construction schedules, preferably from the owner's side or within an EPCM environment.
• Strong understanding of critical path analysis, progress measurement, schedule risk and recovery planning.
• Previous experience on major capital projects or megaprojects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English.
